Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Blondies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies

Sticky, chewy blondies with no flour, no oil, no white sugar. Crammed with heart-healthy chickpeas, these will fool even your healthiest of friends. With a low GI value of 28 – 32, chickpeas carbohydrates are broken down and digested slowly. This is helpful for weight loss (or maintenance) as it works to control appetite. Enjoy one with a cup of tea, or warm it up and add a dollop of greek yoghurt for dessert.

Vegan Matcha Pops

The health world is currently green with envy over matcha powder. Shots of the drink were the “it beverage” at New York Fashion Week, and now even dedicated coffee lovers are ditching their morning cup in favour of this earthy tea. Green tea leaves are ground to a powder, meaning you ingest the tea leaves – giving you 137 x more antioxidants than traditional green tea. It’s also know as a mental booster and helps improve stamina. Sounds awesome right? It’s even better in ice-cream. Just sayin’….

Snickers Protein Bars

Snickers protein bars

What’s better than having a raw vegan Snickers bar? One that is rich in protein, GOOD fats (to those nasty trans ones) and at the same time tasting just as delicious as the actual Snickers. Because “You’re not you when you’re hungry,” right?!

Watermelon Pizza. Healthy, fruit pizza. Low carb, sugar free. The Fit Foodie Blog Recipe

Watermelon Pizza

We can all agree that it would be *awesome* if there was a healthy version of pizza out there. There’s just something about picking a multitude of toppings that gets me over-excited. While this one isn’t filled with melted cheese, it’s just as delicious (promise). It’s practically a fruit salad, which means you can have 4 slices of pizza and not feel ill. You will need a watermelon any then anything else lying in your fruit bowl or pantry – scarcely a recipe, but share-worthy all the same!

{VEGAN} Sweet + Salty Chocolate Sundae

{VEGAN} Sweet + Salty Chocolate Sundae

Admittedly this recipe takes a bit longer than my usual (unless you’re friends with Heston Blumenthal – in which case you can borrow some nitrogen to freeze the ice-cream). You have to believe me though, it’s totally worth the wait. Of course, you could cheat and buy some Chocolate Coyo ice-cream from the health food store, but where’s the fun in that?

This is salty, chewy, crunchy, sweet and chocolatey….all of which you need in your life. In one GIANT bowl.

Berry Protein Muffins

Berry Protein Muffins

Sometimes I don’t feel like having an omelette after a workout. It’s not always easy *or palatable* to get your protein needs. After much testing *poor me* this muffin recipe gets the Fit Foodie tick of approval and is a great post-workout snack. Not dissimilar in taste to your typical cafe muffin, but this one is loaded with muscle-loving amino acids that help build and repair. Also known as super muffins. That’s right.

Single-serving Chocolate Muffin

Single-Serving Chocolate Muffin with Fudge Sauce

The rich chocolate muffin is not only HEALTHY, but it tops portion control charts. It serves just one healthy chocolate monster, unless your slightly insane and you decide to share…In which case, I suggest doubling the recipe and making a second. You’re going to want more than a taste.
