Minty Spirulina Bowls

One of my favourite ways to start the day, spirulina makes it into may of my smoothie bowls. This blue-green algae is extremely nutritious and acts as a powerful antioxidant. If you’re not ready to try it alone, peppermint covers up the taste perfectly!

  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves or 1 tsp peppermint essence
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina powder

  • coconut flakes
  • edible flowers
  • blueberries

  1. Add the banana, coconut water, mint and spirulina to a high-speed blender and blend until thick and smooth.
  2. Pour into coconut halves (or a bowl) and top with blueberries, coconut flakes and edible flowers. Enjoy!
