WHAT IS IT?
Matcha Powder is green tea leaves, ground. Schimples. Matcha has been consumed for centuries in Japan as part of their traditional tea ceremony, but it’s recently become mainstream amongst health foodies for it’s healthful properties.
WHY IS IT SO MATCH-ICAL?
The benefits of green tea are well known – metabolism-boosting, antioxidising goodness that can boost your immune system. However, matcha powder is more concentrated than the usual green tea leaves, with up to137 x the antioxidants of the regular stuff! It also makes a great pre- or post-workout option for your daily fitness regime. I love it in my morning smoothie.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Traditionally, its amazing in a latte. Add it to some hot milk and stir – thats about it. BUT if you want to get a bit creative, add it to your favourite protein balls, smoothies and raw cheesecakes. You and also sprinkle it over your muesli, stir though yoghurt or add to your morning oats. The possibilities are endless!
